Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders are eager students who come to school each day with a smile. They love to read, do arts and crafts and take in new knowledge. Hispanic Heritage Month is here and I’d like to highlight prominent figures and countries to celebrate and educate my students. I’d like to have books about prominent figures like Diego Rivera and Roberto Clemente to teach my students of their contributions to the world. By having books about countries where the Hispanic population lives, I could teach them about prominent places, food, cultural traditions and figures from those countries. I’d also like to have the flags of Hispanic countries and decorations to showcase all that my students have learned during Hispanic Heritage Month. I’d like to thank you in advance for your support in helping these resources reach my students for some fantastic learning experiences!
