Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have worked incredibly hard this year, and I want to celebrate their effort and growth with something truly special. To honor their progress, each child will receive an end-of-the-year bag filled with snacks, cuddly plushies, and personalized learning materials tailored to their unique academic needs.

Every student is at a different point in their educational journey, and it’s important to provide support that reflects where they are and where they’re going.

That’s why I’m creating individualized summer practice packets for both language arts and math. These packets will be designed to reinforce the skills each student needs most, helping them continue learning confidently at their own pace throughout the summer.

With the help of TPT gift cards, I’ll be able to purchase high-quality, differentiated resources—such as leveled reading passages and math practice activities—to support my students' continued growth. These materials will not only help prevent summer learning loss, but also give students a sense of ownership and excitement about learning.

The reading plushies will serve as “reading buddies” to encourage more reading at home, especially for those who don’t have access to books or academic resources over the break. Most of my students come from low-resource households, and providing these tools means they’ll have something tangible to keep learning with, even outside the classroom.

These resources will also benefit my future students, as I’ll be able to reuse and adapt the materials to meet their needs in the coming school year. My ultimate goal is to send each child into the summer with encouragement, confidence, and the tools they need to keep growing.
