My Project
In our pre-kindergarten classroom, the winter season is a magical time for learning, exploration, and celebrating diversity. My students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and their stories, traditions, and experiences enrich our classroom community. To reflect this diversity, I want to provide my young learners with a collection of winter-themed books that represent a range of cultures and perspectives. Through these books, my students will develop empathy and an appreciation for differences while seeing their own lives and traditions represented in the stories we share.
Books are powerful tools to spark curiosity and foster understanding.
By introducing diverse winter stories, my goal is to expand my students’ horizons and help them see the beauty in how different cultures celebrate the season. These books will also strengthen their early literacy skills through engaging and relatable content. With your support, we can build a classroom library that inspires my students to embrace diversity, connect with the world around them, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
