it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, curious, and full of potential. They come to school each day eager to learn, and I want to create an environment that makes them feel seen, valued, and inspired. Representation matters, and celebrating Black History Month in a meaningful way will help my students connect with the rich culture, history, and achievements of African Americans.
The decorations I am requesting—banners, posters, table covers, and more—will transform our classroom into a space that honors Black history and fosters pride, awareness, and appreciation.
These visual elements will spark conversations, encourage reflection, and deepen understanding of the contributions that have shaped our world. By immersing my students in this celebration, I hope to instill in them a sense of belonging and empowerment.
My goal is for every student to walk into our classroom and see that their history and culture are valued. I want them to feel inspired by the stories of resilience, courage, and brilliance that we will explore together. This project is more than just decorations—it’s about creating a lasting impact, one that reminds my students that their voices matter, their dreams are valid, and their potential is limitless.
