Celebrating Black History and Diversity

Help me give my students art supplies and resources to express, explore and celebrate Black History Month.

My Project

My students are very creative and love to express themselves through art. This February, as we celebrate Black History Month, my scholars are researching and learning about Black heroes who have impacted and changed the world. They will be making portraits or drawings of their favorite heroes. We are also exploring, expressing and learning Math as we integrate other subjects like visual art, writing and reading. For Social Emotional Learning (SEL), we are learning about justice, equity and diversity. We strongly believe that these virtues are important, and they help us become better citizens of our society and nation at large. These materials will help my students work on their research and projects. The prizes are to encourage and celebrate our scholars. These supplies will also aid my students learning. We will really appreciate it if our project gets funded as more than 50% of my students come from low-income household and these supplies will support their learning tremendously.
