My Project

Our school has a very diverse low-income population. During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we tried to display books that would reflect these cultures. The collection we have in our school library is very small.

The students have spoken!

At the end of the school year our students filled out a survey and many of our Asian Pacific Islander and Asian American students requested books that are culturally relevant. The magic of reading books that reflect one's culture is priceless! Thank you for giving our students a voice and choice for reading.
