This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is to encourage multilingual learners to engage with books and enhance their understanding.

There are so many ideas and ways that the materials for this project will help promote.

1. **Bilingual Books**: Introduce bilingual books that have both Spanish and English text. These allow students to see the languages side by side, reinforcing their learning and promoting confidence in both languages.

2. **Spanish and English Book Sections**: Create a dedicated section of your library for books in Spanish and bilingual books. This visual distinction can help students feel acknowledged and make it easier for them to find books that match their proficiency.

3. **Spanish Authors**: Introduce books by Spanish-speaking authors, either in translation or in their original language. Highlighting authors from diverse Spanish-speaking countries can help students connect with the culture.

4. **Class Discussions**: Create opportunities to discuss books in both Spanish and English. Encouraging students to share their thoughts on a book in whichever language they feel most comfortable with fosters inclusivity and understanding.
