Celebrate With a Slushie, Popcorn, and Clean Air

Help me give my students slushie syrup for slushies & popcorn to reward classroom character and effort and a diffuser to clean the air.

My Project

I received a slushie and popcorn machine to use as a classroom reward system to motivate students while reinforcing positive behavior and academic effort. However, the syrup and popcorn to run these machines are expensive. The excitement of earning a slushie or popcorn has inspired consistent effort in both academics and social interactions, creating a positive feedback loop that enhances overall student engagement. The diffuser and essential oil will used to promote mental health and help with breathing during flu season.

The primary goals for this project are to increase intrinsic motivation, build a sense of community, and celebrate achievements both big and small.

These incentives serve as a tool to acknowledge often-overlooked behaviors that contribute to a thriving learning environment, such as teamwork and resilience. By making learning enjoyable and rewarding, the slushie machine has promoted an atmosphere where students feel valued and inspired to succeed.

What makes my students special is their unique blend of creativity, determination, and individuality. They bring diverse perspectives and talents to the classroom, making every day an opportunity for shared learning and growth. Their potential to achieve greatness is unmatched, and this reward system recognizes and nurtures their efforts, ensuring they feel seen and celebrated for who they are and what they contribute.
