My Project

Let's Celebrate Lunar New Year together!

As a fun Lunar New Year activity, I would like a mini DVD player to play traditional Lunar New Year movies.

I will set it up in the computer lab where my students will watch the videos (we have a bunch but no longer anything to play them on) to watch and then have a group discussion. We will then use the Sharpies for decorating red envelopes (hongbao) with personalized messages, draw traditional Chinese symbols, or create custom decorations for a special person in their lives. This will immerse them in experiences of cultures other than their own.

The water is for thirsty students. The USB adapters are for the students' mice to connect to their school-issued laptops that have a different connector than the built-in jack.
