Celebrate Student Athletes

Help me give my students more motivation when participating in their P.E. classes. We plan to use the heat press and vinyl to make personalized shirts that show what athletic achievements students have made in P.E.

My Students

We teach physical education at a Title I school in a fully inclusive environment. All of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. A lot of our students also participate consistently in our after school sports program. The purpose of our physical education classes and after school program is to help motivate our students to practice and continue a healthy lifestyle.

They work hard to reach various goals such as decreasing their mile times, increasing their push-ups, and working collaboratively at team sports.

We also have many English language learners at our site. In order to continually support our English language learners across content areas, we continually implement various strategies in P.E. to help support their language development. We want to help support all our students in all areas of their life.

My Project

These materials will help make a difference in our students' learning and personal health because it will give them more motivation when participating in their P.E. classes. We plan to use the heat press and vinyl to make personalized shirts that show what athletic achievements students have made in P.E. Some achievements include run club, twenty mile, forty mile, sixty mile, miracle mile, curl-ups, pull-ups, push-ups, flexibility and wellness. We hope that students can continually add to their achievements throughout their middle school career onto their shirt. We want to encourage our students to live a healthy lifestyle beyond just their P.E. class
