My Project
In AP African American Studies, we dive deep into the rich and often untold history of Black America, and *Stamped from the Beginning* (Youth Edition) by Ibram X. Kendi is the perfect companion for this journey.
This book takes the complexities of African American history and presents them in a way that’s accessible and engaging for young readers.
By learning through literature, students connect with the authentic experiences, struggles, and triumphs of Black Americans, while also gaining a fuller understanding of their immense contributions to the shaping of America.
This course is not just about history; it's about embracing the power of knowledge to break down barriers, celebrate resilience, and inspire future generations to carry forward the lessons of the past. My students will learn about the struggles and contributions of African Americans. My goals for this project are that students can not only pass their AP African American Studies exam, but come away enriched and enlightened by the knowledge gained from reading this book.
