My Project
The students at my school are courageous and resilient. They are involved and love socializing! Our Middle School Leadership class is in charge of planning events for our school. We have had assemblies, dances, penny wars, and food drives...But then COVID-19 hit and that ended our in-person activities and celebrations. We want to get back to CELEBRATING and socializing and being together in person.
These materials will help them interact through planning school events and service projects helping students advance their overall well-being in the light of COVID because it allows them to have a sense of normalcy and togetherness once again.
It allows them to design events for our school where EVERYONE is included and able to participate. With these supplies, students will have the materials they need to plan, decorate and execute truly memorable events for the entire school. The lighting equipment and decorations will make our dances shine! We also want to plan a color run for ALL kids.
These supplies will engage kids in service learning and allow them to express themselves in different ways. These items will help support students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being as well as impacting positively the interrupted learning as a result of the pandemic and help us to get back to active, intelligent, social activities where ALL students can be involved.
