My Project

My students need crayons and construction paper for art projects that reflect our multicultural classroom. My students love doing art projects and I want to have crayons and construction paper available to them.

Our classroom library needs more books that represent the wonderful diversity of our students.

My students loved learning about Mae Jemison and it would be great to have a book about her inspiring life in our classroom library. I also would love to have more books by Peter H. Reynolds. These books teach wonderful life lessons about courage, community, and being unique. We are also learning about the culture of the students in our classroom. A map of the world in a meaningful puzzle would also be great for our students.

I am also requesting place value foam manipulatives which are great for first graders who are learning about place value.
