Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has gone above and beyond to ensure each one of our students is continuing to learn despite being away from the school building. Our teachers deliver daily live lessons with interactive PowerPoint presentations, virtual field trips and small group reading instruction!

My Project

As students wrap up the school year, it is very important that they continue to engage in reading throughout the summer. Students should be engaged in texts that are culturally relevant and read books where they see characters that look like them! The majority of these books are Coretta Scott King Award winners and celebrate universal human values! Students will be thrilled to read captivating stories about characters that look like themselves and members of their families and communities. Every little bit helps and all of the students will greatly appreciate these books!!
