Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The children in my class are full of surprises, they amaze us daily with their new discoveries and skills, learning as they experience the world around them. We now have the opportunity to embrace new tools to better tell the story of their growth and development, but currently don't have a camera.

The students of my class are Spanish speaking children whose parents work up to two jobs.

Our center provides services for low income families. Some of the children are in our care for over eight hours. The children are behind in all areas, but are constantly reaching their milestones. It's great to have the assessment with their progress when having a parent conference. All parents love to see a picture of their child making that accomplishment.

My Project

I am requesting a class camera to document new discoveries. Having this technology in my classroom will provide a different type of recording. Pictures are used not only for observations, but for class activities, field trips, special guest, the daily schedule and for all other events provided.

As an educator who is committed to providing the strongest learning experiences possible-as well as searching for new ways to grow professionally, you will find that strengthening observation and recording skills is key.
