This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! This is my second year of teaching 2nd grade. I am trying to build my classroom with supplies that will be helpful in children's learning for years to come! Especially classroom sets and books!

The books I picked are books we use every year at the beginning of the year and will add to my library.

I have been playing the books as read alouds on YouTube, since I do not own them and I would love to be able to read them instead of playing them on a screen.

My goal is to help my 2nd graders become good readers and have a love for reading. I also want them to feel successful in Math. The rulers and small clocks will help them to be able to work at their own pace and help them feel more successful. It will also help me to be able to help kids in smaller groups. The laminator will help me keep things on my classroom more durable.

My students come from all backgrounds and all walks of life and I want to give them the best education I possibly can, and the best experience at school. They are all special and deserve the best.
