CCS Beautification Part 4

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

CCS is at the heart of our community. We are a school located in the center of the community with a lot to give. Our campus was a middle school for many years. Recently, we consolidated and made four K-8 schools in our district.

Because of this, our campus is missing the elementary feel.

We are a Title I school with students who rely on the school to be their safe haven. Many of the students miss out on the chance to be a kid and don't get to experience the beauty of art.

My Project

We are trying to create a more inviting and bright environment. With the paint purchased we will be able to add sensory paths, murals, signs, and much more to help the students feel more welcome on campus. We will be creating more color on campus soon. With the binder we will be able to have the students create a book that they get to take home and keep for the rest of their lives.

The books will help support the classroom libraries that are lacking or need more support by providing the teacher with more of a variety to give their students.
