Caterpillars to Butterflies in 2nd Grade

My Students

My students are wonderful second graders that love to learn and grow! They enjoy exploring books of many genres and their love for reading is heartwarming. My students are eager learners that take risks and encourage their peers to be creative and principled individuals. I would love to be able to provide the necessary resources to them so that they can learn to their full potential.

My Project

In 2nd grade, our students are learning about pollinators (bees, butterflies, insects, etc.) and how to provide for them! Our 2nd grade team (3 classrooms) want to create a project where the students can implement their learning in a hands-on experience. We will be watching caterpillars turn into butterflies in our own classroom!

By having these kits, the students will get the opportunity to witness the butterfly life cycle right before their eyes.

Once our butterflies are hatched, we plan to release our butteries into the wild to pollinate plants in our community. to Our students are so excited to watch the daily changes to our classroom creatures!
