My Project

The school year is not over and I would like for my special education students to make gains in the area of reading. I would love to be able to give the students leveled readers so that they can enjoy reading and feel comfortable doing so. For my non verbal students, listening to books with new headphones will be just as fun and productive. Leveled readers are important so that the students are able to feel like a successful fluent reader. The vibrant pictures and simple text will be used in the classroom when necessary. A literacy space in the classroom for the students with leveled books is just what is needed to practice reading skills.
