My Project
At Olle Middle School, we strive for academic success for each and every student. Our students need motivation to learn even outside of the classroom, and this is where our sports provide a much-needed advantage. As a Title I school, resources and funding are difficult to acquire for each and every student. During our last season of baseball, students had to share a bag of excessively worn baseball gloves, all of which are in dire need of replacement.
When we practiced with both our 7th and 8th grade teams, some of the boys had to practice bare-handed without any gloves.
At the middle school baseball games, our teams would swap gloves once the next team was up to play so that we had game-ready gloves. Newly purchased gloves would not only allow Olle Middle School to have an adequate supply of gloves for each player to practice, play, and game with, but also provide a safe glove to protect/prevent their hands from being injured. We know that sports can inspire youth to reach for the stars, and I greatly thank you for any and all contributions to our cause!
