This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our elementary school, we are fortunate to have a diverse and motivated group of students in kindergarten through 5th grade, many of whom have special needs. One of the things I love most about my students is their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn new things. This year, we introduced baseball to our physical education curriculum, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. There is a genuine excitement to be part of a team, learn the fundamentals of the game, and develop new skills.

As we continue to build our baseball program, having the right equipment is essential for their growth and success.

Proper baseball gloves are a critical tool for helping students learn defense skills such as catching, fielding, and throwing with confidence. These gloves will not only give my students the equipment they need to practice and improve, but they will also empower them to build teamwork, discipline, and a sense of accomplishment.

The students at our Title I school come from various backgrounds, and many face unique challenges in their academic and physical education journeys. Baseball is a wonderful opportunity to provide them with a fun, active, and inclusive way to develop their motor skills, coordination, and self-esteem. With your support, we can give each child the chance to learn and play with proper equipment, ensuring they feel confident and capable on the field.

This project is more than just about gloves; it's about giving these kids the chance to feel included, successful, and inspired. I’m excited to see them continue to grow and develop their love for baseball, and I am truly grateful for your support in making this possible. Go Huskies!
