We are a middle school located in a county seat in the heartland of the U.S. We have 237 students in grades 6 and 7 .
Our "Catch and Release" program is based on the premise that everyone has a story to tell about experiences in their life, about their surroundings, or about the ideas they dream about or envision in their minds.
Making six digital cameras available for check out would enable the students to capture or catch these events in picture or movie format and then create their story that could be released or shared with various audiences. At this point in time, we have one camera shared by teachers and none available for students. Our budget is being cut and buildings are closing as a result. Therefore, there is no funding for something of this nature.
Your help would make it possible for these students to share their resources, capture their stories, and release them to various audiences both in our area and around the world via the Internet. You may be helping to shape the life of a student who can make a huge difference in our world!
