This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With this project, the 2nd Graders at our school will be reviewing critical grade-level content in the area of Geometry towards the end of the unit, in the form of a "fashion show."
Students will be designing and decorating their shirts with the different shapes (made possible via vinyl), and we will be learning through our Unit.
After that, they will apply their knowledge of the attributes and what they have learned to explain their "design."
Once the shirts are done, we will be doing a Fashion Show with a starred red Carpet and paparazzi (cut-out props included) for the students to show off their geometric fashion.
