This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a special needs classroom. Our school family has created a campus where everyone is an important part of the school and we are all leaders and thinkers. We have a student who has some sensory needs and struggles with transitions and joining activities outside of the classroom. We would like to have a way to help them join in more campus wide activities. Some students came up with a great solution...

A nice comfy cart will help this student join us and create a more inclusive school experience for them!

A cart and cushions will help to provide a comfy way for the student to travel around campus. Staff or peers can pull the cart, or the student can pack comfort stuffed animals in the cart to pull themselves. this will help them join the class wherever we go. This will also help other students learn empathy and care for others.

Please help us to fund this project so that we can create inclusion and connections for all students!
