My Project
Our carpet is the joy of our classroom! It aids us in guiding our reading lessons and leading our community circle; it encourages students to get cozy and solve difficult math problems. Some students even fight over working at the carpet because I believe it evokes a feeling of being at home when my students are learning.
Learning at the carpet is the cornerstone of our classroom and without one our learning enviroment lacks warmth, comfort and guidance.
In addition, having a carpet in the classroom promotes collaborative learning and flexible seating, which gives students the autonomy to choose where to work in the classroom.
Therefore, I am asking for a new rug that displays the world map with the seven continents, which will enhance our geographical lessons. Also, many of my students come from all over the world, and I want this rug to bring forth discussions about cultures and represent the cultures in my classroom.
