Help me give my students an organized environment. Students can find their own place in the room by always knowing their spot on the rug.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love school! They love to come to school. They love to come into their classroom. They love to work with their classmates. They love to learn.
Kids deserve a great, comfortable and safe environment.
They must have a classroom that is clean and doesn’t inhibit them from participating in activities and instruction. My community has one of the highest population of asthmatic children. Some children have been told they should not sit on the rug to avoid episodes of asthma attacks. They need materials and their setting to be harmless and happy. They need to know that they are being taken care of and feel good about their surroundings.
My children need to have a classroom that is pleasant and allows them to grow and learn everyday.
My Project
In first grade, determining the learning styles of students is an important assessment. The beginning of the school year is important and providing a secure routine for all students, some of whom have sensory issues, ADHD, or other special needs and have not yet been evaluated for special needs and support is imperative.
The classroom carpet is like home base.
Each student begins to identify where they belong. It can provide security and not present surprises that derail a child that needs to secure their bearings. Many differentiated activities take place on the rug. The rug I want in my classroom is colorful yet not over stimulating. It’s important in my classroom that all elements of the room support all learners, whether they are special needs or not.
