My Students

My students are an amazing group of third graders. They are enthusiastic about school and embrace everything we do in class. They love reading, P.E., math, and science. Our school is a kindergarten through eighth-grade school located in rural California. It houses 450 students. Our school is surrounded by forests and mountains and has daily visitors such as geese, turkeys, and deer.

My school had a fire on January 26.

I lost my entire classroom to smoke damage. The materials requested in this project are to help my students and I rebuild our classroom and supplies.

My Project

My students need tickets, carnival prizes, squishy balls, toys, snacks and Hydroflask water bottles for prizes for our classroom reward system.

Our third grade classes have been successful at state testing the last two years.

As third grade teachers, we have worked hard to prepare our students to be successful by implementing a rigorous curriculum and have rewarded students with their efforts and successes.

All of the supplies requested are to be used during our testing practice session. Students will be rewarded with the tickets for effort, endurance, success and growth. Once testing is over, the students will be rewarded with a carnival. We take a day, turn our playground into a carnival with games, food and fun. The tickets the students have earned during the year can be used for playing games, buying food or entering a raffle. All of the materials requested in this project, water bottles, toys, squish balls and snacks, will be used for our raffle, prizes, and games.

During this process, student will be taught how to become detail oriented, engaged in learning, eager to learn and active in their own growth.
