This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will benefit greatly from the resources requested for our Fall Festival, as each element is designed to foster a sense of belonging, excitement, and connection at the start of the school year. During the event, students will engage in fun, interactive games and activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social skills. The vibrant decorations and carnival-themed supplies will create a festive atmosphere that encourages participation and joy, setting a positive tone for the year ahead. These shared experiences help break the ice, especially for new students, and make school feel like a safe, welcoming place.

The goal of this project is to use celebration as a tool for deeper engagement and stronger community ties.

By involving families, teachers, and students in a collaborative and fun environment, we’re laying the groundwork for increased family involvement and open communication throughout the year. When students feel supported both at home and at school, they are more confident, motivated, and ready to learn. This event helps create that bridge—transforming a simple celebration into a powerful step toward academic and social-emotional success.
