Carnegie Hall- Here We Come!

Help me give my students a gourd rattle and books that will compliment the Carnegie Hall Musical Explorers program.

My Project

My students are going to be participating in the year long Carnegie Hall Musical Explorers program. We will learn Haitian, Zimbabwean, Son Jarocho, Georgian, Zulu, and Southeastern songs and social dances through this program. We will go to Carnegie Hall to see two concerts with professional musicians who will perform these songs for us. This is going to be an incredible experience for my students! The teacher's manual suggests books from each region of the world to enhance our learning. I would love to add each of the books that they suggested in addition to a gourd rattle that I can use when we learn Southeastern social dances.
