it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their strength and spirit. I serve students across the entire district, from energetic kindergarteners to ambitious high schoolers, and each one brings something special to our schools. They are resilient, full of potential, and deserving of safe, supportive environments where they can thrive. As the district nurse, it’s my job to help make that happen by being there when they’re not feeling their best—so they can get back to learning and being themselves.
The right medical tools help students feel better faster and stay in the classroom longer.
A digital blood pressure cuff helps me monitor students with heart conditions or anxiety. A quick-read thermometer helps identify illness early and prevent the spread of infection. The pulse oximeter is vital for kids with asthma or breathing difficulties, giving instant data to guide care. A portable, well-stocked first aid bag allows me to treat minor injuries or emergencies on any campus. With these tools, I can respond more efficiently, reduce time away from class, and support both learning and safety.
My goal is to provide reliable, responsive care to every student, at every school. When students know they’re safe and supported, they can focus on what truly matters—learning, growing, and reaching their full potential.
