My Project

"Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi -- Before we can can change the world, we must first work on ourselves and then one will be able to understand other people and the struggles that they go through.

My students will learn to see the world through the eyes of another person by engaging in activities such as reading diverse stories, participating in role-playing scenarios, and having guided discussions that encourage empathy and perspective-taking.

They will also learn to work toward alleviating the suffering of others through classroom service projects, acts of kindness, and social-emotional learning lessons that emphasize identifying others’ needs and responding with care. Success in their understanding of compassion will be measured through reflective writing, peer feedback, classroom behavior, and participation in empathy-driven activities, demonstrating their ability to recognize emotions in others and take thoughtful action to support them.
