My Project

Our school district has made a commitment to creating an environment where students not only grow academically but also learn how to manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and navigate social situations effectively. Social-emotional learning (SEL) is at the heart of this effort.

The school district has adopted the C.A.R.E.S social and emotional learning competencies (Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy, and Self-Control), hosts multiple C.A.R.E.S Days throughout the school year, and encourages teachers to teach two SEL mini lessons each week.

As part of our important work with social and emotional learning, we would like to create a C.A.R.E.S. cart full of snacks, prizes, and incentives for staff and students.

The C.A.R.E.S. cart, stocked with snacks, fidgets, and school supplies, will be available on C.A.R.E.S. Days and during school assemblies. In addition to being used as prizes and incentives for SEL lessons and activities, the items on the cart will also serve as rewards for our staff and student recognitions, which occur quarterly.

With your support, we will create a C.A.R.E.S. cart to encourage social and emotional learning and reward staff and students who showcase their Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy, and Self-Control.
