My Project

I am serving many children that are underprivileged. I want to give them the learning experience that they deserve. The books will be used to give my students a large variety of options to read in the classroom. Starting soon we will be learning all about careers and what it's like to work and receive a paycheck. They can then use those funds to purchase items, provided with your help, from our classroom store bi-weekly. This will give them an idea of what it's like to operate in the real world.

Recently, my students have been assigned classroom job that will simulate the real world.

They will receive a "Pay Check" on a bi-weekly basis, which they will be able to use to buy things from our classroom store. This is where a lot of the fidgets on the item list will be beneficial. Students will be able to purchase them with their hard earned money. This will teach them about budgeting and when to save to buy higher price items. I think students will have a better understanding and respect for money after this.
