My Students

My 19 third grade students are a diverse group of learners with a variety of interests and abilities.
We believe that anything is possible in our classroom and that everyone can learn. Our students are hardworking, dedicated, and motivated to reach their full academic potentials. They love to learn and explore in all subject areas. Their passion for increasing their knowledge is outstanding!
My Project
Sometimes the students in my class aren't having the best of days and just like adults need time to take for themselves. These materials that will be used in our calm corner which will allow students to do just that! A calm corner is a section of the room where students can go if they feel they aren't ready to jump into learning just yet.
If students are in need of some time to reset their minds for learning they can use just materials as a relaxing bean bag chair, stress relief toys, and fidgets.
As a school community we are learning how to be more aware about mindfullness and how to intertwine academic and social emotion learning.
