I have a group of 16 students that participate in my weekly advisory group. The advisory group meets to provide additional support for students. Each week we cover various topics such as: how to be a better student, diversity, self-esteem, peer pressures, how to adapt to pressures at home and in the school setting, etc. At the end of each session my students are provided some type of token for working diligently within the group.
My students have made me a very proud counselor and they are learning new skills each week.
To keep them uplifted, know how proud I am of them, and to encourage each of them, I would like to continue to provide my students with thoughtful, caring items.
