This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A care center filled with hygiene and self-care products can be a great support for students in need. Many students may face financial constraints that limit their ability to purchase personal care products; additionally, many students facing financial stress might not share this information openly. This can lead to a lack of self-care and hygiene, which can negatively impact their mental and physical health. By having a care center on campus, students can obtain the products they need to take care of themselves without worrying about the cost or having to request these items.

Many students face academic and personal stress, which can manifest in different ways; having a designated space to access self-care products such as deodorant, toothpaste, and other personal care items can promote well-being and reduce stress.
