Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our school, the majority of our students live below the poverty line. They often don’t have the basic necessities including clothing, hygiene supplies and food. Our school is hoping to start a “take what you need” room so that students will have access to these basic necessities. Students will be able to get food and supplies for themselves and their families without judgment. We will have the room in a private area and monitored by the SEL team.

In addition, we want to continue to support the mental health of our teens with appropriate coping skills.

Our goal is to teach them to use appropriate materials in the classroom with the use of school appropriate fidgets. Please support our wonderful students.
