My Students
Making models of science concepts makes learning easier for middle school students.
I teach science to a diverse group of high needs, urban students.
I try to make science interesting for them by including craft type models of science concepts when I can. These activities help my students to understand the concepts we are studying better.
My Project
With beads, glue, and the colorful cardstock that I am requesting, my students will make their own models of atoms. The atom is a difficult concept for most students. While we are studying the periodic table, my students will have the opportunity to pick an element and make the atom for it.
Please assist my students in completing this project.
When they have the opportunity to make models of what they are learning, my students will be excited about learning and will be proud of what they have created.
