My Project

As a first-grade teacher, having different colored cardstock is essential for end-of-year projects and craft activities. At this age, students are highly visual and respond enthusiastically to bright, engaging materials. Colored cardstock allows for creativity, helps differentiate parts of a project, and makes final products more vibrant and meaningful for students and their families. Whether it's memory books, thank-you cards, class awards, or summer-themed crafts, using various colors helps keep the students excited and invested in their work.

Colored cardstock also serves a practical purpose—it's more durable than regular paper, ensuring that keepsakes can be taken home and cherished for years to come.

It helps students follow directions more easily too; for example, “Glue the poem on the yellow paper” is clearer and more manageable than using plain sheets. In a busy classroom, visual organization goes a long way in promoting independence.

As we wrap up the year, I want to create a joyful, memorable experience for my students. These hands-on, colorful projects not only celebrate their growth and hard work but also give them something tangible to be proud of. Having a variety of cardstock colors makes these moments even more special.
