This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is across the street from a small private Jewish school. With all of the violence going on in the world today that is affecting their community, I would like to have my first graders write Hannukah cards to their first grade classes. We can walk across the street and hand deliver them. We will also make candles out of construction paper and tissue paper as a sign of hope and peace. It is important that we show empathy to our neighbors and make connections with other students our own age.
