Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My personal goal as a PE teacher is to find new and exciting ways to help encourage my students to be physically active! Cardio drumming is a fun, high-paced kid-approved activity that encourages students not only to be physically active, but also allows their own creativity to show.
The Cardio drumming unit specifically focuses on skill-related fitness, rhythm, self-expression and cardiovascular health.
These materials would be used for all of my students, PreK - 4th Grade. With your generous donation, each student would have their own drum station to follow along, and create their own moves/routines on. Lessons would focus on whole body movement and participation.
Jumping rope isn't the only way to get some heart-healthy cardio in and this is a great way to beat stress while having fun!
