This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is very diverse! I love that each student has their own personality and they use their gifts to better the school. Our students have cardinal cash that they want to spend on different rewards like sensory toys and LED rings they can take home to play with their family members. I'm asking for different rewards to help motivate our students to collect Cardinal Cash to buy these rewards in our Cardinal Store. Token economies in the classroom promote students' self-awareness of behavior. Students quickly associate positive behaviors with receiving a positive reward. Additionally, token economies promote students' self-monitoring of behavior rather than a teacher having to micro-manage each student's behavior.
