Cardboard Sculptures - Creative Chaos

Help me give my students building materials used to create cardboard sculptures. Students will be able to efficiently use the different types of scissors, safety cutters, and Chomp Saws for more precise cuts and decrease work time.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Efficient cardboard tools such as these ChompSaws, cardboard scissors, and cutters will enable my students to explore form, balance, and structural integrity while fostering creativity and teamwork.

Who doesn't love to use new tools to get a job done?

This project will engage students in Pre-K through 5th grade in using tools to manipulate and come up with creative uses of recyclable materials. We will use these tools to create hands-on sculptures, 2D and 3D art projects, frames for their artwork, and so much more. These building materials are essential for students to use independently and more importantly, safely. They will also allow us to use class time more efficiently. Building cardboard sculptures emphasizes creative reuse, accessibility, and experiential learning through tactile engagement with recyclable materials. This grant will directly support my students' development of independence, creativity, and problem-solving skills as well as foster a fun work environment.
