Cardboard Creators!

Help me give my students the opportunity to use the ChopShop for enhancing their learning and creativity. Additionally, they will be able to creatively decorate their sculptures with Sharpies, colorful cardstock, pompoms, googly eyes, and more!

My Project

I work at a Title I school where my students love showcasing what they’ve learned by creating projects using materials they have at home. Having a cardboard cutter would be an invaluable tool for my students, as we have plenty of empty boxes and cardboard available in our recycling. I am excited to see them recreate creatures, animals, and more from the nonfiction and fictional stories we read this year.

Creating 3-D cardboard sculptures is a fantastic way for students to express their learning and creativity.

This process helps them expand their vocabulary and articulate their ideas as they describe their sculptures, making it easier for them to write about their reading. I hope this project will be funded because I would love for my students to use their creativity to set up an art museum based on their readings for their families to tour this summer during summer school.

Please help fund this project so my amazing students can explore how to reuse and recycle cardboard, showcasing what they have learned for many years.
