About My Students

My students are very excited to bring the Photography Club back to our high school. Right now, the students are excited to show off their photos taken on old, cracked cell phones. Imagine their excitement if they had access to proper equipment!

This project would allow our Photography Club to flourish! Our community may have a bad reputation but we would like to highlight its beauty and character through photography. My students developed this idea by showing each other photos taken on their cell phones. Despite having a low-resolution and broken screens, they possess photography skills that ought to be developed (pun intended).

Providing a DSLR camera to the Photography Club would allow opportunity for professional growth and responsibility. Many of the students already demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and photographic eye. With professional cameras and guidance, students would be able to take high-quality photos at school events. This would be a tremendous opportunity to practice responsibility and demonstrate professionalism, while doing what they love.

In Their Own Words

Our project goal is to take unique pictures with these cameras. We would like to take pictures of our unique city to show outsiders what it's like to live in our community. We want to capture the scenery, people, buildings, and art. Our city is big on art and we would like to give high school students a vision of what it's like to be a part of the city.

We will be leaders in bringing this project to life by promoting it within our school and on our school's website. We will spread the word by telling our peers and parents about this project. We want to set up our own website to share our work and abilities.

This project is important to us and our school community because we want to put our lives and experiences in photographs. This equipment would give us experience and provide a better perspective of the art form of photography.
