My students are an energetic, lovely, and caring group of individuals. They all have a wonderful thirst for knowledge and are always ready to learn more. The girls and boys in my classroom are filled with curiosity and have a desire to learn. They attend an inner city public school where more than one third of the population is comprised of low income families. My students are very diverse and have a wide range of learning styles. My students are motivated at becoming life long learners.
My Project
A document camera has become a staple in my teaching instruction for the past 7 years. I just took a teaching position closer to home and would love to continue to use a document camera and show others what an amazing resource this technology is. As an educator the one piece of technology that I find to be the most beneficial is the projector alongside the document camera. I am able to quickly take hold of teachable moments, have students display their work or learning, complete tasks together as a class, and the list goes on. There are endless possibilities when it comes to the document camera.
