Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious about who they are and where they come from. We are a diverse population from various backgrounds and cultures. Students will be given the opportunity to research their family history and genealogy to learn more about their personal history, culture and backgrounds. To help keep students engaged in gathering the information, students will be able to creatively display their findings in personalized scrapbooks.

These family scrapbooks will contain valuable information students diligently gather and thoughtfully display to share with their families for years to come.

Students will use decorative papers, stickers and embellishments to showcase the information they learn about their own family history, their ancestors' history and cultural background.

My students are eager to learn more about their own past and history. They also enjoy showcasing their creative and artistic talent giving them a tremendous sense of pride. This project will give my students an opportunity to be proud of what makes them who they are and also to complete a wonderful family heirloom to share with everyone in their families.
