My students need cameras, memory cards and a battery charger to document their school year.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Reed's classroom raised $570

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Help my students capture the moments that make up their high school experience! My students currently do not have any cameras to take pictures for their school newspaper and yearbook. Without this essential tool, my students are unable to capture the crucial moments of their school year.
My students are creative, enthusiastic, and excited about journalism and yearbook.
They are proud of their school and want to show that by producing a quality and newsworthy newspaper and a yearbook that covers all aspects of student life. My students have become very good at working with what they have and work hard to raise money to support their student publications. Their school is very diverse and that diversity is represented in their classes and in their work.
My Project
The resources we are requesting are digital cameras. By supplying my students with this essential tool you will enable them to truly experience what it's like to be a photojournalist and capture all the moments of high school. Without digital cameras, my students are unable to complete their stories and accurately document the daily events of their school and its student body.
By donating digital cameras to our journalism and yearbook programs you will not only provide cameras for this year's students but many students in the following years.
These cameras will complete their photojournalism experience and hopefully inspire them to continue taking pictures and writing stories to document their lives.
