Help me give my students a new camera so they can capture emotions, express themselves, and document school life, supporting mental health, self-expression, and their goals for college.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am incredibly passionate about my students and their potential to grow both personally and creatively. Each one of them has unique qualities that set them apart, and they bring diverse perspectives to the table. By providing them with the Fujifilm X-S20 XC15-45mm camera, we are not just giving them a tool for photography—we are offering them the opportunity to express themselves, document their journey, and connect their emotions to their work.
These students have a deep desire to explore photography as a form of storytelling, with the camera serving as a journal for their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
The Fujifilm X-S20 and its versatile lens will allow them to capture a wide range of subjects, from everyday moments to school events, helping them improve their technical skills while engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning. The camera’s film simulations and advanced image quality will give them the ability to refine their craft, develop an eye for detail, and cultivate a unique artistic style that will be essential in their future college photography endeavors.
