Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the past 4 years, we have worked to develop our Hope Ambassadors program here at HIS.
Students Helping Students.
Hope Ambassador program aligns with the SAVE Promise program and prides itself on the 4 E's: Educate, Empower, Encourage, and Engage.
Providing our students with this iPad will allow them to work together to create videos for our whole school focusing on the prevention of bullying, school violence, and inclusivity. These iPads will allow our students to film, edit and educate students across our campus!
Our Hope Ambassadors are made up of students who want to make a positive change and impact in their school community. They engage in different projects throughout the year, all focused on spreading kindness. We teach our students the importance of inclusivity and how being an upstander can combat school violence.
It is our hope that when this project is fully funded, we are able to spread education on the importance of violence prevention, empower are Hope Ambassador students to take a stand for positivity, encourage other students who may be different from them, and engage other students in preventing violence on our Campus!
